Piety

Some of our Hutsteiner family members were evidently very pious. Some donation letters to the church and parish in Wegscheid have remained from them. Thomas Hutsteiner was one of them, also he donated several times. With his first  donation letter from 1791 he donated 50 Gulden and asked to a hold a church mass for him and his wife every year on 27th of October. For the pastor there were 45 Kreuzer (1 Gulden = 60 Kreuzer), for the Organist 12 Kreuzer and for the acolytes 2 Kreuzer calculated, which resulted in about 50 years of church masses prepaid.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 1600 Wolfgang Hutsteiner donated candles for the church in Pfarrkirchen i.M. / Upper Austria.

 

 

A bank director

Hutsteiner Hans,born 1884 in Stuttgart, was director of the Allbank, later Dresdner bank, in Stuttgart after WW2.

 

As already written before one of our family members had been a famous painter: Rudolph Huthsteiner.

But there is also one more painter in our family, already well known in Germany: Chris Huthsteiner.

Thomas Hutsteiner from Austria was at the drums for the band Prochoice from 1994 to 1999 

Michael Hutsteiner is an Austrian composer and engineer who specializes in electronic and computer music.

Gertraud ‘Traudl’ Hutsteiner had been a theater actress in the city of Hof, Bavaria, in the 1940s.

The Hospital Steward

Julius Huthsteiner, still with unknown origin but likely from the Lutheran Huthsteiner families in Hesse, a druggist, took part in the American civil war. After the war he was prosed to become an Army Steward USA in 1866, one out of ca. 150 in the US army.
