Surprise

In early 1900’s it happened that Eugene Gustave Huthsteiner coincidentally found out that another, unknown Hutsteiner family member was living in New Jersey. As our family name is quite uncommon he was quite surprised.

So he wrote following letter to Ms Louisa Huthsteiner: 

Nowadays we know that Louisa and Eugene were related and it is possible to show that their common ancestor was Michael Huthsteiner in Dillenburg, i.e. Eugene’s and Louise’s Great-great-grandfathers had been brothers.
