The Pogners

Our very well known miller Lienhard Hutsteiner built the Hutsteinermill close to the village Messnerschlag.

Nevertheless, we do not know who followed as a miller on this site, likely one of his children.

The next miller we are aware of at the Hutsteinermühl was Johann Pogner abt 1620. So, the ownership of the mill obviously changed family hands before.

Perhaps Johann Pogner married a daughter of a Hutsteiner miller on the Hutsteinermill ? Could have been a daughter of Hutsteiner Paul, who occurred within a Wegscheid parish balance sheet of 1617. His location is not clearly defined, but Messnerschlag i.e. the Hutsteinermill would have been possible as he had to do some society work (Wiesndienst) at a meadow at the river Pfeil, close to Messnerschlag.
