The book ‘Schlesiens Grab-Denkmale und Grab-Inschriften’ (Silesia’s grave monuments and grave inscriptions), volume 24 from Adrian Joseph Graf Hoverden-Plencken, which was forwarded in 1872 to the city library in Breslau, includes a description of the tombstone of Col. Heinrich Christian Huthsteiner in Löwenberg.
Unfortunately the book in the Breslau library was lost, only its table of content survived.
Still hoping that in future another copy is popping up anywhere in the world.
Obviously our family has problems with some genetical and psychological diseases, one of them was epilepsy, another -still undefined- was paranoia like.
Paul Huthsteiner was most time of his life in hospital and finally died there. In his records it was mentioned that also his father’s sister – still not identified – suffered from epilepsy and had been in hospital in the city of Bielefeld.
Friedrich August Huthsteiner was in Colditz asylum, a state owned hospital for insane people, where he died in 1887 after 6 years. Amongst other things he suffered from persecution mania.
It was recorded that also a sister of him had been diagnosed insane, but died before 1881.
Josef Hutsteiner was killed by the Nazis as part of their euthanasia program.
Actually also some other Hutstein family members are suffering from serious depression diseases.
The documented top ancestors of living families are following persons:
Michael Hutsteiner is the forefather of all saxonian Hutsteiner and of most Huthsteiner in Hesse-Nassau and the US.
Thomas Hutsteiner is the forefather of Hutsteiners who moved away from Wegscheid to the parish Schönberg and later on he became the ancestor of all Hutstein family members in Bavaria, too.
Thomas Hutsteiner is the top ancestor of all living Hutsteiner families originating in Aiglsöd, parish Wegscheid, who still have the family farm operated there since 1666. He is the forefather of a smaller group of Hutsteiner in the US, too.
Simon Hutsteiner is the ancestor of all Hutsteiner families in Kollerschlag and Mistlberg, Upper Austria.
Michael Hutsteiner is the father of Martin and Coloman Hutsteiner with their large families and descendants in Niederwegscheid and perhaps the only known Hutsteiner in this list who was born at the hamlet Hutstein.
Johann Adam Hutstein was the starting point of all catholic Hutsteiner family members in Hessen Nassau and e.g. forefather of UK emigrants.
Blasius Hutsteiner was the forefather of a large family originating in Kasberg, a small village close to Wegscheid.
The large family of Blasius’s father Simon Hutsteiner followed by Julius Hutsteiner in Kasberg disappeared during history. Only Blasius Hutsteiner’s descendants remained.
With a growing number of researched members of our families more and more family secrets are getting unveiled. Some of them are imprisonments of Hutsteiners due to brawls, domestic violence or even more severe cases:
Already in 1669 Michael Hutsteiner was known as a hothead and punished for insulting his neighbour.
Johann Hutsteiner from Linz was imprisoned 1905 and 1910 for sexual fornication with little girls.
Adalbert Hutsteiner got arrested 6 months due to domestic violence against son of his wife.
Josef Hutsteiner from Mistlberg got incarcerated for 2 years on a serious mayhem he did in 1868. 17 years old Josef and another guy attacked a guest of a beer pub just because of devilment and injured him seriously.
Johann Hutsteiner got 1 year in prison due to having sworn a perjury in another trial in 1879.
Georg Hutsteiner was arrested in 1918 for 2 months as he has hidden his deserted son during the WWI.
According the Bayer. Central -Polizei-Blatt 1886 Rupert Hutstein was accused of theft.
Peter Andrew Huthsteiner confessed to having sexual intercourse with an eight-year-old girl and subsequently pleaded guilty to the crime of rape in the second degree and was sentenced to a term of 2 to 6 years in prison.
George Huthsteiner was 6 months in jail for billing a state insurance program for therapy which consisted of having sex with the woman while her boyfriend watched in 1982
Hutstein Mathias from Preith a.k.a. Mathias Reitmair was searched for attempted manslaughter in December 1809. Actually I suppose that he fled to Munich and covered as a peasant servant there coming from Eger, Bohemia in Austrian Empire as no Hutstein could be found in Eger, but the later recorded death age of Mathias Hutstein in Munich pinpoints to this origin in Preith.
